Intimations – Sunday 19 January 2020

After Morning Worship Fellowship : After Morning Worship today     Tea , Coffee, Juice and biscuits will be served in the Church.  Please stay behind for as long or short a time as you can manage and enjoy a time of fellowship with other members of the congregation and with visitors to our church.

Our Praise : This morning our praise items are taken from Church Hymnary Third Edition (CH) and those at evening services are taken from Mission Praise (MP).

If you feel more comfortable sitting during the items of praise, please feel free to do so.

Crèche:    There is a crèche in the Church Hall behind the Church if anyone wishes to leave their children there during the morning service.

Sunday School :  The group meets every Sunday during the school term.   The young people meet initially in the Church before moving to the Church Hall.

The Ladies’ Bible Study Group : The group meets in the Church Hall on Tuesdays from 10.30 am to 12.00 noon.   All ladies welcome

The Prayer Fellowship : Due to the ongoing work by Scottish Water the Fellowship group is cancelled until further notice.

Pastoral Visits :  The Minister asks that he would be kept informed of  any member of the congregation who is ill, in hospital or would  welcome a visit from him.

New Communicant Members :   Any Adherent who would wish to become a full communicant member of the church should speak to the Minister at the end of the service or contact him by telephone.   We would dearly love to see more Adherents take up full communicant membership of the church and take Communion on 12 April.

Retiral Offering :  A Retiral Offering will be taken at both services on Sunday 26 January.   This collection will go towards the costs of major projects in our church buildings.

Church Magazine :  The first 2020 edition of our magazine is scheduled for issue prior to Easter (12 April).

The main theme for this edition will, not surprisingly, be SPRING and EASTER and we would ask for articles on thoughts of Spring ; memories of Easter past ; favourite hymns ; poetry ( famous or your own) etc.

It would be appreciated if articles could be typed and either placed in the Magazine Folder in the Vestibule or, preferably, emailed to the editor at wwm74marl@hotmail.com     Handwritten articles can still be placed in the folder.

The provisional schedule for the production will be :-

January to Sunday 01 March  –  submission of articles

02 March to 15 March  –  preparation and proofreading of  the Magazine

Week beginning 16 March  –  printing of magazine

Sunday 29 March  –  issue of magazine to distributors

We hope that, with your help, we can once again continue the high standards set in previous editions.
