Intimations – Sunday 17 May 2015

portree-parish-church-festubertSandor’s Study Leave : Sandor will be attending the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland in Edinburgh until Friday 22 May and will return to duty thereafter. Rev David Kellas will lead worship at both services today

Aid to Nepal : The Sunday School, Youth Fellowship and Crèche Coffee Morning last Sunday raised a wonderful sum of £492.09.  Grateful thanks are extended to our young people and their leaders for all their work.

In addition, a total of £737.30 was raised through the retiral collections. This is a tremendous achievement and once more demonstrates the generosity of our congregation.

Crèche:  There is a crèche in the Church Hall behind the Church if anyone wishes to leave their children there during the morning service.

Sunday School and Youth Fellowship meet every Sunday during the school term.   They meet initially in the Church before moving to the Church Hall.

The Ladies’ Bible Study Group meets in the Church Hall on Tuesdays from 10.30 am to 12.00 noon.   All ladies welcome.

The Prayer Fellowship will meet in the Church Hall at 7.00 pm each Tuesday evening   All are welcome to attend.

Summer Opening of the Church to Visitors : Anyone willing to take on one or more of the slots on the rota for opening the church during the months of June to the end of August should give their name to Ishbel Beattie (0787 611 0984)

Preparatory Service :   A Preparatory Service will be held in the Church at 7.30 pm on Friday 22 May.

Communion : Communion will be served at both morning and evening services on Sunday 24 May.

Retiral Offering : A Retiral Offering will be taken at both services

Next Sunday.   These collections will go towards the costs of major projects in our church buildings

Holidays : The holiday period will soon be upon us and members of the congregation will be visiting many different parts of the country.   If anyone visits a church elsewhere and finds that, like Portree Parish Church, spare copies of a magazine are available to visitors then the Magazine Committee would be extremely grateful to receive a copy.   These can provide ideas for future articles in our own magazine

Any magazines obtained can be placed in the Magazine Folder in the Front Vestibule.
