Communion : Communion will be served at both services today
If you wish to be served with the Elements please sit in one of the pews with the white cloths. If you are unable to do this, please indicate to an Elder from where you are sitting and the Elements will be brought to you. Those wishing the Common Cup should sit on the organ side of the church and those wishing the Individual Cup should sit on the pulpit side.
After Morning Worship Fellowship : After Morning Worship today Tea , Coffee, Juice and biscuits will be served in the Church Hall. Please stay behind for as long or short a time as you can manage and enjoy a time of fellowship with other members of the congregation and with visitors to our church.
Aid to Nepal : A cheque for £1,357.30 has been sent to the Disasters Emergency Committee to aid the people of Nepal following the earthquakes which have hit that country. In addition the recent Sunday School, Youth Fellowship and Crèche Coffee Morning raised the wonderful sum of £526.13 which will also go to aid for Nepal. Grateful thanks are extended to our young people and their leaders for all their work in raising this money and to the congregation for their continuing generosity.
Crèche: There is a crèche in the Church Hall behind the Church if anyone wishes to leave their children there during the morning service.
Sunday School and Youth Fellowship meet every Sunday during the school term. They meet initially in the Church before moving to the Church Hall.
The Ladies’ Bible Study Group meets in the Church Hall on Tuesdays from 10.30 am to 12.00 noon. All ladies welcome.
The Prayer Fellowship will meet in the Church Hall at 7.00 pm each Tuesday evening All are welcome to attend.
Summer Opening of the Church to Visitors : Anyone willing to take on one or more of the slots on the rota for opening the church during the months of June to the end of August should give their name to Ishbel Beattie (0787 611 0984)
Retiral Offering : A Retiral Offering will be taken at both services next Sunday. These collections will go towards the costs of major projects in our church buildings.
Holidays : The holiday period will soon be upon us and members of the congregation will be visiting many different parts of the country. If anyone visits a church elsewhere and finds that, like Portree Parish Church, spare copies of a magazine are available to visitors then the Magazine Committee would be extremely grateful to receive a copy. These can provide ideas for future articles in our own magazine
Any magazines obtained can be placed in the Magazine Folder in the Front Vestibule.
Wedding Invitation
