Communion : Communion will be served at the both services today.
If you wish to be served with the Elements please sit in one of the pews with the white cloths. If you are unable to do this, please indicate to an Elder from where you are sitting and the Elements will be brought to you. Those wishing the Common Cup should sit on the organ side of the church and those wishing the Individual Cup should sit on the pulpit side.
Our Praise : Normally at our morning services the items of Praise are taken from Church Hymnary Third Edition (CH3) and those at evening services are taken from Mission Praise (MP).
If you feel more comfortable sitting during the items of praise, please feel free to do so.
After Morning Worship Fellowship : After Morning Worship today Tea , Coffee, Juice and biscuits will be served in the Church. Please stay behind for as long or short a time as you can manage and enjoy a time of fellowship with other members of the congregation and with visitors to our church.
Crèche: There is a crèche in the Church Hall behind the Church if anyone wishes to leave their children there during the morning service.
Sunday School and Youth Fellowship meet every Sunday during the school term. They meet initially in the Church before moving to the Church Hall.
The Ladies’ Bible Study Group : The group meets in the Church Hall on Tuesdays from 10.30 am to 12.00 noon. All ladies welcome.
The Prayer Fellowship meets in the Manse at 7.00 pm each Tuesday evening. All are welcome to attend.
Pastoral Visits : The Minister asks that he would be kept informed of any member of the congregation who is ill, in hospital or would welcome a visit from him.
Church Magazine : The closing date for articles and items for the Christmas edition of the magazine is Sunday 20 November. To date relatively few items have been received. Please remember that this is your magazine.
Articles should be placed in the folder in the Vestibule or preferably emailed to Trevor on trevordee@gmx.co.uk Note change of email address!
Blythswood Shoe Box Appeal : This year we plan to have all boxes donated by members of the congregation gathered at the front of the church. On Saturday 26 November the boxes from various churches and schools will be taken to our Hall where a short service will take place.
Tea and coffee, provided by Blythswood will be served after this service.
Volunteers are sought to set up the Hall beforehand and serve the tea/coffee. If willing to help please give your name to Roddy Beaton.
Blythswood Shoe-Box forms are available in the Front Vestibule.

St Columba’s Church Portree is having a Psalms Day on Saturday 03 December. There is a cordial invitation to members of our congregation to attend one or both of the two sessions which run from 11.00 am – 1.00 pm and 2.00 pm – 3.30 pm.
There will also be their Festival on Nine Lessons and Carols at 2.30 pm on Saturday 18 December. Rev Rosemary Bungard would like someone from our church to read a lesson at this service. If you would be willing to do this please contact Bill Marshall
Retiral Offering : A Retiral Offering will be taken at both services on Sunday 27 November. This collection will go towards the costs of major projects in our church buildings.
