INTIMATIONS
Covid Regulations :
From 09 August the Scottish Government removed most of the Covid restrictions which had been operating previously. However, the strong recommendation from the Church of Scotland is that, at present, congregations may wish to keep the 1 metre social distancing policy.
We feel that it would be more reassuring for those attending church if we continue to implement this practice.
The First Minister has also stated that it will continue to be the law that face coverings must be worn in all indoor settings as it is now.
Consequently, face coverings must still be worn in the church and throughout the service – including during the singing of praise items.
The existing cleaning and disinfecting regimes will continue with the church fully sanitised after each service.
Bible Study & Prayer Fellowship :
The group meets in the Church at 7.00 pm each Tuesday. All are invited to attend.
Readers :
As a further step down the road to how it used to be, we are looking for volunteers to join the rota of those willing to read the lessons at our morning services.
If you would wish to join this list, please give your name to Donna McEwan.
Remembrance Sunday :
The service next Sunday will commence after the parade of organisations and the laying of wreaths at the War Memorial has taken place.
Due to the reduced capacity of the church during this period of Covid restrictions, the members of the parade will not be coming into the church.
Preparatory Service and Communion Sunday :
Prior to the Communion Service to be held on Sunday 21 November, a Preparatory Service will be held in the church at 7.00 pm on Tuesday 16 November.
All members of the congregation are invited to attend.
The Sacrament of the Lord’s Supper will be celebrated during the service on Sunday 21 November. Members of the congregation are asked to bring their own piece of bread to this service. Individual disposable glasses and a sealed container of wine will be set out at each pew seat.
New Communicant Members :
Any Adherent who would wish to become a full communicant member of the church should speak to the Minister at the end of the service or contact him by telephone.
We would dearly love to see more Adherents take up full communicant membership of the church and take Communion on Sunday 21 November.
Life & Work Magazine :
If anyone would wish to be added to the list of those who subscribe to Life & Work Magazine, please let Morna MacLaren know. (01478 612749).
The annual subscription charge is £36 for 12 issues.
