Intimations – Sunday 1 July 2018

Bible - Portree Parish Church

After Morning Worship Fellowship : After Morning Worship today     Tea , Coffee, Juice and biscuits will be served in the Church.  Please stay behind for as long or short a time as you can manage and enjoy a time of fellowship with other members of the congregation and with visitors to our church.

Our Praise :  :  Normally at our morning services the items of Praise are taken from Church Hymnary Third Edition (CH3) and those at evening services are taken from Mission Praise (MP).

If you feel more comfortable sitting during the items of praise, please feel free to do so.

Crèche:    There is a crèche in the Church Hall behind the Church if anyone wishes to leave their children there during the morning service.

Sunday School & Youth Fellowship :  Sunday School and Youth Fellowship are closed for the Summer holiday period.  Classes will resume on Sunday 2 September.

The Ladies’ Bible Study Group : The group meets in the Church Hall on Tuesdays from 10.30 am to 12.00 noon.   All ladies welcome.

The Prayer Fellowship : Until further notice, the group will meet in the Church Hall at 7.00 pm each Tuesday evening.   All are welcome to attend.

SECURITY :  Those people responsible for closing the church at the end of a service or a period f opening the church to visitors are asked to ensure that all doors are locked and that the sound system has been switched off.

Pastoral Visits :  The Minister asks that he would be kept informed of  any member of the congregation who is ill, in hospital or would  welcome a visit from him.

New Communicant Members :   Any Adherent who would wish to become a full communicant member of the church should speak to the Minister at the end of the service or contact him by telephone.   We would dearly love to see more Adherents take up full communicant membership of the church and take Communion on Sunday 5 August.

Holidays : The holiday period is now upon us and members of the congregation will be visiting many different parts of the country.   If anyone visits a church elsewhere and finds that, like Portree Parish Church, spare copies of a magazine are available to visitors then the Magazine Committee would be extremely grateful to receive a copy.   These can provide ideas for future articles in our own magazine

Any magazines obtained can be placed in the Magazine Folder in the Front Vestibule.

Ladies’ Bible Study Group :  The final meeting of the Ladies’ Bible Study Group before the Summer recess will be Tuesday 10 July.  The new session for the group will commence on Tuesday 21 August.

During the recess period an open invitation is extended to all ladies who would wish to meet informally in the Red Brick Café at Jans on Tuesdays from 10.30 am to 12.00 noon
