INTIMATIONS :
After Morning Worship Fellowship :
After our Morning Worship today, Tea , Coffee, and Juice, will be served in the Church. Please stay behind for as long or short a time as you can manage and enjoy a time of fellowship with other members of the congregation and with visitors to our church.
Sunday Evening Services :
Evening services are held in the church each Sunday and commence at 6.00 pm.
Ladies’ Bible Study Group :
The Ladies’ Bible Study Group meets in the Hall at 10.30 am each Tuesday. The group will be delighted to welcome any new ladies who would want to join them in fellowship and friendship.
Bible Study & Prayer Fellowship Services :
These services are held in the Church at 7.00 pm each Tuesday evening.
All are invited to attend.
Pastoral Visits :
The Minister asks that he be kept informed of any member of the congregation who is ill, in hospital or would welcome a visit from him.
Car Boot Sale :
Catherine Stewart has booked a table at the Car Boot Sale to be held at Donnie G”s Church on Saturday 14th November, from 10am until 2pm.
If anyone has any household goods, books, knitting etc they would be happy to donate, Catherine would be delighted to take them off your hands (and out of your house)! All proceeds will be going to our own Church of Scotland funds. The only requests she has are that you let her have any items at least one week in advance, so she can get organised. No electrical, or very large items, please.
Catherine can easily collect from you in Portree, or if you are out of Portree, perhaps we could arrange a pick-up point.
Remembrance Sunday 08 November – Morning Worship :
As in previous years, Portree Parish Church will host the Remembrance Day Service. Following the period of silence in the Square, members of the uniformed organisations will join us in the Church for morning worship.
While the seating arrangements will be slightly different from a normal Sunday it is hoped that members of our congregation will not be put off from attending on that day.
This year we will be joined by members of Portree Gaelic Choir and pupils from Bun-sgoil Ghàidhlig Phort Rìgh and our first item of praise will be from Sailm Dhaibhidh 91. The sermon will be given by Rev Iain Osborne, minister of St Columba’s Episcopal Church
FreeWill Offering Envelopes :
Envelopes for 2027 will be issued during November.
Anyone wishing to join the FWO scheme and receive a set of weekly envelopes for their offerings should contact Bill
Church Magazine – Christmas Edition :
It’s just over 7 weeks to Christmas ! What is Christmas without Carols, Turkey and your Portree Church magazine !
Please, please, please let us have YOUR contributions for this edition. They can be as long or as short as you like and on any topic.
As usual, contributions can be place in the red folder on the wall of the Front Vestibule or sent to me at wwm74marl@hotmail.com
Publication date will be Sunday 13 December so it would be wonderful if your contributions were received before Sunday 29 November.
