Intimations – Sunday 5 June 2016

Portree Parish Church ExteriorAfter Morning Worship Fellowship : After Morning Worship today     Tea , Coffee, Juice and biscuits will be served in the Church.  Please stay behind for as long or short a time as you can manage and enjoy a time of fellowship with other members of the congregation and with visitors to our church.

Crèche:    There is a crèche in the Church Hall behind the Church if  anyone wishes to leave their children there during the morning service.

Volunteers for crèche duties are sought to cover days when the regular staff members are unable to attend.  If you are able to help with this matter please contact Sandra Beaton or Angela Smith.

Sunday School and Youth Fellowship meet every Sunday during the school term.   They meet initially in the Church before moving to the Church Hall.  As today is a holiday weekend for schools there is no Sunday School or YF today.  Classes resume next Sunday, 12 June

The Ladies’ Bible Study Group meets in the Church Hall on Tuesdays from 10.30 am to 12.00 noon.   All ladies welcome.

The Prayer Fellowship will meet in the Church Hall at 7.00 pm each Tuesday evening   All are welcome to attend.

Tent Mission :  The final meeting of the Mission will be held this evening at 7.30 pm

Congregational Board & Kirk Session Meetings :  The next meeting of the Congregational Board will be held in the Manse on Thursday 16 June.  Kirk Session will meet in the Manse on Thursday 23 June.  Each meeting will commence at 7.30 pm.

Church Magazine :  The next edition of our magazine is due to be issued in August. We welcome items on your favourite hymns, poems, humorous stories, etc.

We would welcome especially items on “The Environment” and “Childhood Memories of Summer”

Please submit your items as soon as possible to enable an early start to be made on this edition.  Items may be left in the folder in the Front Vestibule or, preferably, emailed to Trevor Dee at trevordee@btinternet.com

Holidays : The holiday period will soon be upon us and members of the congregation will be visiting many different parts of the country.   If anyone visits a church elsewhere and finds that, like Portree Parish Church, spare copies of a magazine are available to visitors then the Magazine Committee would be extremely grateful to receive a copy.   These can provide ideas for future articles in our own magazine

Any magazines obtained can be placed in the Magazine Folder in the Front Vestibule.
