WELCOME !  We are delighted to have you worshipping with us today.  Please sit wherever you wish.  Large print hymn books are available at the church door –  please ask if you require one.  An Induction Loop system is also in use –  you should adjust your hearing aid to the appropriate ‘T’ setting.  A Visitors’ Book is in the vestibule if you would wish to sign it.  The Minister or an elder will be happy to pray for anyone after the service.

 

After Morning Worship Fellowship : After Morning Worship today     Tea , Coffee, Juice and biscuits will be served in the Church. Please stay behind for as long or short a time as you can manage and enjoy a time of fellowship with other members of the congregation and with visitors to our church.

 

Crèche:    There is a crèche in the Church Hall behind the Church if anyone wishes to leave their children there during the morning service.

 

Sunday School meets every Sunday during the school term.   They meet initially in the Church before moving to the Church Hall.

 

Youth Fellowship will meet in the Church Hall from 7.15 to 8.30 pm tonight.

The Ladies’ Bible Study Group  meets in the Church Hall on Tuesdays  from 10.30 am to 12.00 noon.   All ladies welcome.

 

The Prayer Fellowship group meets in the Manse at 7.00 pm each Tuesday evening.   All are welcome to attend.

 

Minister’s Visit to Nepal : As part of his responsibilities as a member of the Church of Scotland’s World Mission Council, Sandor will be a representative of the Church of Scotland at the forthcoming General Assembly of the APC in Nepal.  He will also visit other areas in which the Church of Scotland has a particular interest.   He will leave on 23 May and return on 11 June.   Kirk Session has approved the following arrangements for services on the three Sundays when Sandor will be absent :-

Sunday 26 May :   Morning Worship  – Rev. John Murray

This will be followed at 12.30 pm by a Gaelic Service.

This service is open to all, from any church, who would wish to attend.  Please inform anyone you know who might be interested in attending.

Evening Worship  –  Bill Marshall

Sunday 2 June  :    Morning & Evening Worship  –  Rev. David Kellas

Sunday 9 June  :    Morning & Evening Worship  –  Rev. David Kellas

 

David Kellas will also take the Sunday afternoon service at Budhmor.

 

Coffee Mornings :  Coffee Mornings, in aid of church funds  are held in the Church Hall each Thursday from 10.30 – 12.00

Further volunteers to help with the rota for these events are still sought.

It is hoped that this venture will be well supported by both the congregation, the local community and also that it will attract visitors to our island.

 

Christian Aid Envelopes :   These should be placed in the large box which can be found in the Front Vestibule.

Envelopes should be returned by Sunday 26 May please.

 

Retiral Offering :  A Retiral Offering will be taken at both services

on Sunday 26 May.   This collection will go towards the costs of major projects in our church buildings.

 

Scottish Womens’ Convention :  The SWC are holding a series of local meetings to consult with women on a variety of topics including Welfare Benefits ; Caring Responsibilities ; Health ; Education ; Housing ; Communities.  These are FREE events.

There will be meetings in Aros on Thursday 23 May from 11.30  – 2.30 pm  or  5.30 – 7.30pm. (There are also meetings in Kyle and Breakish).
