As Sandor is in Hungary at present, Morning Worship today will be led by Bill Marshall and the Evening Worship by Colin Reeve. The Bible Study and Prayer Fellowship Service on Tuesday 27 May will be led by Roddy Beaton.
Rev. Gary Wilson will stand in for Sandor where the services of a minister are required.
During Sandor’s absence other pastoral matters should be referred to the Session Clerk, Bill Marshall, who may be contacted on 01478 650 405.
After Morning Worship Fellowship :
After our Morning Worship today, Tea , Coffee, Juice, and biscuits will be served in the Church. Please stay behind for as long or short a time as you can manage and enjoy a time of fellowship with other members of the congregation and with visitors to our church.
Sunday Evening Services :
Evening services are held in the church each Sunday and commence at 6.00 pm.
Sunday School :
The group meets every Sunday during the school term. They meet initially in the Church before moving to the Church Hall.
If required, a crèche facility is available.
Ladies’ Bible Study Group :
The Ladies’ Bible Study Group meets in the Hall at 10.30 am each Tuesday. The group will be delighted to welcome any new ladies who would want to join them in fellowship and friendship.
Bible Study & Prayer Fellowship Services :
These services are held in the Church at 7.00 pm each Tuesday evening.
All are invited to attend.
Pastoral Visits :
The Minister asks that he be kept informed of any member of the congregation who is ill, in hospital or would welcome a visit from him.
New Communicant Members :
Any Adherent who would wish to become a full communicant member of the church should speak to the Minister at the end of the service or contact him by telephone. We would dearly love to see more Adherents take up full communicant membership of the church and take Communion at the Pentecost Service on Sunday 08 June.
Retiral Offering for May :
A Retiral Offering will be taken at the end of both today
This collection will go towards the costs of major projects in our church buildings.
Volunteers :
We are seeking volunteers from members of the congregation for 3 important areas of our church.
1 Firstly, to operate the AV system for projecting the Bible texts and hymn lyrics.
We are currently operating with only 2 fully trained people and we would like to have reserves in case one or both of these people are unable to attend church
The preparation of the slides will continue to be done by David. Full training on the operation of the equipment will be given.
Interested ? Willing ? Please see David
2 Secondly, the operation of the HymnalPlus system.
Again, full training on the processes involved will be given and Bill will continue to programme the machine for each Sunday service.
Interested ? Willing ? Please see Bill
3 Thirdly, last year after a break due to Covid, we reintroduced the Summer Opening of the Church to Visitors.
This scheme was greatly appreciated by visitors to Portree and some locals.
We would hope to continue this programme this summer
If you are willing to help with this area, please give your name to either Donna McEwan or Bill
