INTIMATIONS
Covid :
While Covid is still present in the community, the majority of our congregation are now fully vaccinated against the virus.
At the last joint meeting of the Kirk Session and Congregational Board it was felt that we could now relax our previous strong recommendation that face coverings should be worn in the church.
The wearing of these face coverings will now be a matter of personal choice.
The cleaning and disinfecting regime in the church will continue, but at a reduced frequency. It will still be sanitised before each Sunday worship.
Preparatory Service, Sunrise Service and Communion Sunday :
Prior to the Communion Service to be held on Easter Sunday, 09 April, a Preparatory Service will be held in the church at 7.00 pm on Good Friday, 07 April.
All members of the congregation are invited to attend.
A short Sunrise Service will be held at the Lump at 6.25 am (British Summer Time) on Sunday 09 April. Sunrise time is 6.32 am (BST)
Again, all members of the congregation are invited to attend.
Easter Sunday – Communion :
The Sacrament of the Lord’s Supper will be celebrated during both services today.
Individual disposable glasses and a sealed container of wine will be set out at each pew seat.
After Morning Worship Fellowship :
After our Morning Worship today, Tea , Coffee, Juice, and biscuits will be served in the Church. Please stay behind for as long or short a time as you can manage and enjoy a time of fellowship with other members of the congregation and with visitors to our church.
Sunday Evening Services :
Evening services are held in the church each Sunday and commence at 6.00 pm.
Sunday School :
Sunday School is closed for the Easter holiday period. Classes will resume on Sunday 23 April.
The group meets every Sunday during the school term. They meet initially in the Church before moving to the Church Hall.
If required, a crèche facility is available.
Ladies’ Bible Study Group :
The Ladies’ Bible Study Group meets in the Hall at 10.30 am each Tuesday. The group will be delighted to welcome any new ladies who would want to join them in fellowship and friendship.
Bible Study & Prayer Fellowship Services :
These services are held in the Church at 7.00 pm each Tuesday evening.
All are invited to attend.
Pastoral Visits : The Minister asks that he be kept informed of any member of the congregation who is ill, in hospital or would welcome a visit from him.
New Communicant Members :
Any Adherent who would wish to become a full communicant member of the church should speak to the Minister at the end of the service or contact him by telephone. We would dearly love to see more Adherents take up full communicant membership of the church.
Church Magazine – Easter Edition :
Copies of the Easter edition of the magazine are now available in the Front Vestibule. Please collect a copy as you leave the church. Many thanks to those members of the congregation who submitted articles for this edition – these were very much appreciated. We hope that you will enjoy these and the other items in the magazine.
