After Morning Worship Fellowship : After Morning Worship today Tea , Coffee, Juice and biscuits will be served in the Church. Please stay behind for as long or short a time as you can manage and enjoy a time of fellowship with other members of the congregation and with visitors to our church.
Crèche: There is a crèche in the Church Hall behind the Church if anyone wishes to leave their children there during the morning service.
Sunday School & Youth Fellowship are closed for the Easter Holiday period. They will next meet on Sunday 27 April.
The Ladies’ Bible Study Group There will be no meeting of this group on Tuesday 15 April.
The Prayer Fellowship There will be no meeting of this group on Tuesday 15 April.
Church Coffee Mornings : The first Coffee Morning of this year will be held in the Church Hall from 10.30 to 12.00 on Thursday 17 April. Last year these events raised over £600 for church funds. It is hoped that this venture will be well supported by the congregation, the local community and visitors to our island.
Anyone who would be willing to be involved or who would wish further information should see Liz MacDonald.
New Communicant Members : Any Adherent who would wish to become a full communicant member of the church should speak to the Minister at the end of the service or contact him by telephone. We would dearly love to see more Adherents take up full communicant membership of the church and take Communion at the Easter Service on Sunday 20 April.
Congregational Register : The Kirk Session is currently updating the Congregational Records. Last year, the roll keeper’s computer crashed and so some details may have been lost. The Data Protection Act requires us by law to have written permission to hold your name on the roll. If you have started attending the church in the last four years, or returned after a period of absence, or your details have been lost then you may be asked to complete a roll request form. Please return these forms to Donna McEwan or any of the elders.
Preparatory / Good Friday Service : A Preparatory / Good Friday Service will be held in the Church at 7.00 pm on Friday 18 April.
Easter Sunday – Sunrise Service : A short service will be held at the Lump at 5.50 am (British Summer Time) on Sunday 20 April. Sunrise time is 5.55 am (BST)
Communion : Communion will be served at the morning service on Easter Sunday 20 April.
Church Magazine : The closing date for articles is 25 April but earlier receipt would be appreciated.
Food Bank : Food items from the undernoted list may be deposited in the receptacle in the Front Vestibule. These will be passed on to Helping Hands who will distribute them to those in need in Portree and the local area. Cards listing the most suitable items of food are available in the Front Vestibule.
