INTIMATIONS
Covid Regulations :
From 09 August the Scottish Government removed most of the Covid restrictions which had been operating previously. However, the strong recommendation from the Church of Scotland is that, at present, congregations may wish to keep the 1 metre social distancing policy.
We feel that it would be more reassuring for those attending church if we continue to implement this practice.
The First Minister has also stated that it will continue to be the law that face coverings must be worn in all indoor settings as it is now.
Consequently, face coverings must still be worn in the church and throughout the service – including during the singing of praise items.
The existing cleaning and disinfecting regimes will continue with the church fully sanitised after each service.
Preparatory Service and Communion Sunday :
Prior to the Communion Service to be held next Sunday, 21 November, a Preparatory Service will be held in the church at 7.00 pm on Tuesday 16 November.
All members of the congregation are invited to attend.
The Sacrament of the Lord’s Supper will be celebrated during the service on Sunday 21 November.
Members of the congregation are asked to bring their own piece of bread to this service.
Individual disposable glasses and a sealed container of wine will be set out at each pew seat.
Church Magazine :
It would be appreciated if articles for the Christmas edition could be submitted by Sunday 21 November at the latest.
These may be placed in the Magazine Folder in the Front Vestibule or may also be emailed to the editor at wwm74marl@hotmail.com
FreeWill Offering Envelopes for 2022 :
Anyone wishing to join the scheme and receive envelopes for their weekly offerings should see Bill.
Retiral Offering :
A Retiral Offering will be taken at the end of the service on Sunday 28 November.
This collection will go towards the costs of major projects in our church buildings.
