Our Watchnight Service Offering :
At our Watchnight Service it is a tradition that we take a special collection for a local charity.
We have decided that the special collection this year will go to Portree Nursery.
Portree Nursery was opened in 1993 with further alterations taking place in 1996 and 2003, providing a pre-school and baby care facility. The pre-school is funded by the Highland Council providing Early Years Education for 3 and 4 year-olds.
Fast forward to 2019, and with continued growth and increased funding for 3 and 4 year-olds, the pre-school has outgrown the present building and is now moving to new premises situated at Portree primary School.
With the Nursery being a non-profit making organisation and holding Charitable Status, funds are limited to equip the new building with the resources necessary to look after the upwards of 50 children it can accommodate. The facility is also available outwith normal school term time for the children of parents who are working.
