Intimations – Sunday 25 March 2018

Our Praise :  :  Normally at our morning services the items of Praise are taken from Church Hymnary Third Edition (CH3) and those at evening services are taken from Mission Praise (MP).

If you feel more comfortable sitting during the items of praise, please feel free to do so.

 

After Morning Worship Fellowship : After Morning Worship today     Tea , Coffee, Juice and biscuits will be served in the Church.  Please stay behind for as long or short a time as you can manage and enjoy a time of fellowship with other members of the congregation and with visitors to our church.

 

Crèche:    There is a crèche in the Church Hall behind the Church if anyone wishes to leave their children there during the morning service.

Gaelic Service :  At 12.30 pm today, immediately following AMWF,       Rev Tommy MacKinnon will lead a Gaelic service in the church.

 

Sunday School & Youth Fellowship : Sunday School and Youth Fellowship are closed for the Easter holiday period. Both groups resume classes on Sunday22 April.

 

The Ladies’ Bible Study Group  closes on Tuesday 27 March for the Easter holiday period.  They will resume on Tuesday 17 April.  There is an open invitation for coffee in Jans’ Red Brick Café on Tuesdays when not meeting in the Church Hall.

 

The Prayer Fellowship meets in the Manse at 7.00 pm each Tuesday evening.   All are welcome to attend.

 

Church Magazine : It has been decided that the first magazine of 2018 will be published between Easter and Pentecost (20 May).

Articles may be placed in the Magazine Folder in the Front Vestibule.   They may also be emailed to Trevor Dee at trevordee@gmx.co.uk

Pastoral Visits :  The Minister asks that he would be kept informed of

any member of the congregation who is ill, in hospital or would

welcome a visit from him.

 

New Communicant Members :   Any Adherent who would wish to become a full communicant member of the church should speak to the Minister at the end of the service or contact him by telephone.   We would dearly love to see more Adherents take up full communicant membership of the church and take Communion on 01 April.

 

Retiral Offering :  A Retiral Offering will be taken at both services

on today.   This collection will go towards the costs of major projects in our church buildings.

 

Church Coin Boxes :  It would be appreciated if no boxes were handed in until further notice.

 

Pattern of Services for Easter :

 

Friday 30 March (Good Friday) :    Preparatory Service at   7.30 pm

  • This will take the form of a Praise Evening comprising readings relating to the Passion and Easter hymns.

 

Sunday 1 April (Sunrise Service) :  Sunrise Service at the Lump at 6.45 am. 

                                            – Sunrise is timed for 6.53 am.

 

Sunday 1 April (Easter Sunday) :  Communion Service at 11.00 am

                                                           Evening worship at 6.00 pm
