Intimations – Sunday 9 July 2017
Gaelic Service : Immediately after Morning Worship today, Lachie Gillies will conduct a Gaelic Service. It is hoped that as many people as possible, Gaelic speakers and non-Gaelic speakers, give support to Lachie for this initiative.
As a consequence of this there will be no After Morning Worship Fellowship today.
Our Praise : Normally at our morning services the items of Praise are taken from Church Hymnary Third Edition (CH3) and those at evening services are taken from Mission Praise (MP).
If you feel more comfortable sitting during the items of praise, please feel free to do so.
Crèche: There is a crèche in the Church Hall behind the Church if anyone wishes to leave their children there during the morning service.
Sunday School and Youth Fellowship are closed for the Summer holiday period. They will next meet on Sunday 20 August.
The Ladies’ Bible Study Group is closed for the Summer holiday period. The group will next meet on Tuesday 8 August
The Prayer Fellowship will meet in the Church Hall at 7.00 pm each Tuesday evening All are welcome to attend.
Pastoral Visits : The Minister asks that he would be kept informed of any member of the congregation who is ill, in hospital or would welcome a visit from him.
New Communicant Members : Any Adherent who would wish to become a full communicant member of the church should speak to the Minister at the end of the service or contact him by telephone. We would dearly love to see more Adherents take up full communicant membership of the church and take Communion on Sunday 6 August.\
Church Magazine : The next edition of our magazine is due to be issued in August. We welcome items on your favourite hymns, poems, humorous stories, etc.
Please submit your items as soon as possible to enable an early start to be made on this edition. Items may be left in the folder in the Front Vestibule or, preferably, emailed to Trevor Dee at trevordee@gmx.co.uk
Holidays : The holiday period will soon be upon us and members of the congregation will be visiting many different parts of the country. If anyone visits a church elsewhere and finds that, like Portree Parish Church, spare copies of a magazine are available to visitors then the Magazine Committee would be extremely grateful to receive a copy. These can provide ideas for future articles in our own magazine
Any magazines obtained can be placed in the Magazine Folder in the Front Vestibule
