After Morning Worship Fellowship : After Morning Worship today Tea , Coffee, Juice and biscuits will be served in the Church. Please stay behind for as long or short a time as you can manage and enjoy a time of fellowship with other members of the congregation and with visitors to our church.
Crèche: There is a crèche in the Church Hall behind the Church if anyone wishes to leave their children there during the morning service.
Crèche: Volunteers for crèche duties are sought to cover days when the regular staff members are unable to attend. If you are able to help with this matter please contact Sandra Beaton or Angela Smith.
Sunday School and Youth Fellowship meet every Sunday during the school term. They meet initially in the Church before moving to the Church Hall.
The Ladies’ Bible Study Group meets in the Church Hall on Tuesdays from 10.30 am to 12.00 noon. All ladies welcome.
The Prayer Fellowship will meet in the Church Hall at 7.00 pm each Tuesday evening All are welcome to attend.
Congregational Board & Kirk Session Meetings : The next meeting of the Congregational Board will be held in the Manse on Thursday 16 June. Kirk Session will meet in the Manse on Thursday 23 June. Each meeting will commence at 7.30 pm. Minutes, Agenda and appropriate papers for the Session meeting will be available in the Vestibule next Sunday.
Church Magazine : The next edition of our magazine is due to be issued in August. We welcome items on your favourite hymns, poems, humorous stories, etc.
We would welcome especially items on “The Environment” and “Childhood Memories of Summer”
Please submit your items as soon as possible to enable an early start to be made on this edition. Items may be left in the folder in the Front Vestibule or, preferably, emailed to Trevor Dee at trevordee@btinternet.com
Holidays : The holiday period will soon be upon us and members of the congregation will be visiting many different parts of the country. If anyone visits a church elsewhere and finds that, like Portree Parish Church, spare copies of a magazine are available to visitors then the Magazine Committee would be extremely grateful to receive a copy. These can provide ideas for future articles in our own magazine
Any magazines obtained can be placed in the Magazine Folder in the Front Vestibule.
Kilmuir Hall -Saturday 18th June 7.30pm : You are cordially invited to join an evening of Gaelic hymn singing and traditional music where in the first half there will be singing some hymns from the Seinneamaid Comhla Hymbook and the new CD. After the break, the Brogues, a traditional music band comprising Alan Murray, David Matheson, Grace Walker & Alastair Bennet will take to the stage for some music.
