After Morning Worship Fellowship : After Morning Worship today Tea , Coffee, Juice and biscuits will be served in the Church. Please stay behind for as long or short a time as you can manage and enjoy a time of fellowship with other members of the congregation and with visitors to our church.
Sunday School meets every Sunday during the school term. They meet initially in the Church before moving to the Church Hall.
Crèche: There is a crèche in the Church Hall behind the Church if anyone wishes to leave their children there during the morning service.
The Ladies’ Bible Study Group meets in the Church Hall on Tuesdays from 10.30 am to 12.00 noon. All ladies welcome.
The Prayer Fellowship meets in the Manse at 7.00 pm each Tuesday evening All are welcome to attend.
Sunday School Christmas cards / Calendars : Due to the limited number of Sundays before schools close for the Christmas holiday period, Sunday School regrets that they will be unable to produce cards or calendars this year
Retiral Offering : A Retiral Offering will be taken at both services on today. This collection will go towards the costs of major projects in our church buildings.
Ladies’ Bible Study Christmas Lunch : Completed Forms and the appropriate money should be put in an envelope and placed in the special box in the Front Vestibule today at the latest.
Door Duty / Readers : Door Duty volunteers are sought to give a welcome greeting to people as they come into the church and to take up the offerings. Readers would read the lessons during services. If you would be willing to help with either or both of these duties please see Donna McEwan or Bill Marshall.
Praise Evening : There will be a Praise Evening on Saturday 6th December at 7.30 in Columba 1400. Over the last year a local group from Kilmuir & Stenscholl Parish have been compiling a new book of Gaelic praise, and it was felt that it would be good to have an evening of praise to sing a few items from the new book entitled ‘Seinnamaid Comhla (Let’s sing praise together). Everyone is welcome, and after the singing there will be a time around some tea and home-baking.
Church Magazine : It is hoped that the Christmas edition of our Church Magazine will be ready for distribution next Sunday.
We are greatly indebted to Patrick & Jenni Jones for the production of this edition.
Sunday 14 December : This will be the last Sunday this year for the Sunday School and Youth Fellowship and consequently morning worship will take the form of a Family Service.
Members of the Sunday School and Youth Fellowship (with some assistance from a few members of the congregation) will be presenting an interpretation of the Nativity scene.
After the service the Sunday School and Youth Fellowship will be providing a Soup and Mince Pie Lunch in the Church Hall.
It is hoped that members of the congregation will support our younger members in these activities.
A letter has already been sent to a special guest inviting him to make an appearance and he has written back saying he hopes to attend.
