Minister’s Annual Leave : Sandor is at present taking part of his Annual Leave entitlement. He returns to duty on Friday 26 September.   During his absence urgent pastoral matters will be dealt with by Rev. John Murray who may be contacted on 01470 542 297.

Rev. John Murray will lead worship at both services today and he will also   lead a service of worship at Budhmor this afternoon.

We wish Sandor and Susan a peaceful and restful break with their family during which time the birth of their second grandchild is expected.

After Morning Worship Fellowship : After Morning Worship today     Tea , Coffee, Juice and biscuits will be served in the Church. Please stay behind for as long or short a time as you can manage and enjoy a time of fellowship with other members of the congregation and with visitors to our church.

Crèche:  There is a crèche in the Church Hall behind the Church if anyone wishes to leave their children there during the morning service.

Sunday School and Youth Fellowship now both meet every Sunday morning during the school term.   They meet initially in the Church before moving to the Church Hall.

There will be no Sunday School or Youth Fellowship next Sunday as 25 + 26 September are school In-Service days

The Ladies’ Bible Study Group meets in the Church Hall on Tuesdays from 10.30 am to 12.00 noon.   All ladies welcome.

The Prayer Fellowship will meet in the Church Hall at 6.30 pm each Tuesday evening during the month of September. From 07 October it will revert to its normal 7.00 start time.   All are welcome to attend.

Retiring Collection : The Retiring collection for September which will be in aid of Helping Hands will be taken at both services on Sunday 05 October. Any envelopes handed in on Sunday 28 September will still go to this good cause.

Harvest Thanksgiving Sunday : Our annual Harvest Thanksgiving Service will take place at morning worship on Sunday 05 October. It has been agreed that all donations made should be directed towards those in need in Portree and other areas of Skye.

Helping Hands has been identified as the most appropriate organisation to receive our donations and they will liaise with various other agencies (Social Services, CAB etc) to ensure that help is directed to where it is most needed. Cash donations would be the most acceptable form of donation as this allows Helping Hands to make bulk purchases at more competitive prices.

It is also hoped that food items from the list available in the Front Vestibule will be brought and left in the special box in the Front Vestibule. Members of the Sunday School will bring these food items to the Chancel area at the start of the service

Kirk Session also agreed that the September retiring collection and any white envelopes received during September will be directed to Helping Hands.

The donations will be collected at both services on Sunday 05 October.

Items particularly requested are pasta, pasta sauces, jam, rice, smoked sausage, noodles, soup, beans, sweetcorn, breakfast cereals,

tins of ravioli, powdered milk, tins of spaghetti bolognese

Church and Church Hall Cleaning Rotas : A small number of spaces on these rotas have become vacant. If you could help with this important matter please contact Ann MacLeod.

Food Bank : Items for the Food Bank may be deposited in the box in the Front Vestibule.
