Holidays : The holiday period will soon be upon us and members of the congregation will be visiting many different parts of the country. If anyone visits a church elsewhere and finds that, like Portree Parish Church, spare copies of a magazine are available to visitors then the Magazine Committee would be extremely grateful to receive a copy. These can provide ideas for future articles in our own magazine.
Any magazines obtained can be placed in the Magazine Folder in the Front Vestibule.
Church Magazine – Summer Edition
Preparations for the joint Summer edition of the Church magazine are starting.
A folder has been placed in the Front Vestibule of the church and anyone who has an item (poem, article, prayer etc.) that they wish to be considered for inclusion in the Summer or other editions of the magazine is asked to place it in the folder. Items may also be sent directly to the editors, Jenni & Patrick Jones, at jennipatrick@btinternet.com
This is the magazine of your church. It is also circulated to many people who either never or very seldom come to worship with us. By submitting your own articles these people will see that we have an active congregation which might encourage some of them to come and join us in worship.
Visit of the Moderator of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland – Soup & Pudding Lunch
It has been agreed that after the morning service on 25 August, at which the Moderator, the Right Rev. Lorna Hood, will preach, a Soup & Pudding Lunch will be served in the Church Hall.
