Sandor’s Annual Leave :
Sandor will be on leave during the second half of September and the first half of October.
He leaves Skye on Monday 14 September and returns to the pulpit on Sunday 18 October
All Sunday Services of worship and the Tuesday Evening Bible Study & Prayer Fellowship Services will be led by Elders.
Rev. Beckie Bartocho will stand in for Sandor where the services of a minister are required.
During Sandor’s absence other pastoral matters should be referred to the Session Clerk, Bill Marshall, who may be contacted on 01478 650 405.
After Morning Worship Fellowship :
After our Morning Worship today, Tea , Coffee, and Juice, will be served in the Church. Please stay behind for as long or short a time as you can manage and enjoy a time of fellowship with other members of the congregation and with visitors to our church.
Sunday Evening Services :
Evening services are held in the church each Sunday and commence at 6.00 pm.
Ladies’ Bible Study Group :
The Ladies’ Bible Study Group meets in the Hall at 10.30 am each Tuesday. The group will be delighted to welcome any new ladies who would want to join them in fellowship and friendship.
Bible Study & Prayer Fellowship Services :
These services are held in the Church at 7.00 pm each Tuesday evening.
All are invited to attend.
Pastoral Visits :
The Minister asks that he be kept informed of any member of the congregation who is ill, in hospital or would welcome a visit from him.
Harvest Thanksgiving :
At the last meeting of Kirk Session it was agreed that the September retiring collection and any white envelopes received during September or on Sunday 04 October can be directed to a local charity. The charity selected to be the recipient of any donations is Am Fasgadh.
If you wish your white envelope to go to this charity please print CHARITY on the front. If you wish the money to go to the church please print CHURCH.
The donations will be collected at both morning and evening worship on Sunday 27 September and Sunday 04 October.
Cash donations will, as usual, be collected at the door at the end of each service.
Blythswood Care Christmas shoebox wrapping:
We’re planning to work together again this year on the Blythswood Care shoebox appeal, and the first step is to collect as many empty shoeboxes as we can. It would be helpful if we could do this before our wrapping session on Tuesday 22 September at 10.30am in the church hall. This will start with a cuppa as we’re being hosted by the Ladies’ Bible Study group.
Wrapping materials will be provided and we’ll have a short demonstration about how to wrap the boxes before we get to work. Please bring any shoeboxes to church over the next couple of weeks, or to the wrapping session.
All are welcome, not just ladies!
