Summer Opening of the Church to Visitors :
Over July and August, our church was open for visitors every weekday between 11am and 4pm. Over the course of 45 days we had some 5,439 visitors – an average of 121 per day and 991 more visitors than recorded last year. Our busiest day was 21st August with 485 visitors, 170 of whom were recorded in a single 1 hour period
There was always a member of the congregation on hand to welcome visitors, and answer any questions. We had prayer cards available on the pews, with paper copies to be taken away if required, along with a leaflet on the history of the parish church.
We are greatly indebted to the 18 members of the congregation who gave of their time to assist in this very worthwhile venture.
