INTIMATIONS
Covid Regulations :
From 09 August the Scottish Government removed most of the Covid restrictions which had been operating previously. However, the strong recommendation from the Church of Scotland is that, at present, congregations may wish to keep the 1 metre social distancing policy.
We feel that it would be more reassuring for those attending church if we continue to implement this practice.
The First Minister has also stated that it will continue to be the law that face coverings must be worn in all indoor settings as it is now.
Consequently, face coverings must still be worn in the church and throughout the service – including during the singing of praise items.
The existing cleaning and disinfecting regimes will continue with the church fully sanitised after each service.
Bible Study & Prayer Fellowship :
The group meets in the Church at 7.00 pm each Tuesday. All are invited to attend.
Retiral Collection / Charitable Giving :
For those who missed the opportunity last Sunday donations to the charitable cause detailed below may still be made today.
Kirk Session agreed that the September retiring collection and any white envelopes received during September or on Sunday 03 October can be directed to the Renal Unit of the new Broadford Hospital. This facility will provide treatment for those people on Skye and the near mainland who suffer from kidney complaints. The dialysis unit will mean that those requiring will no longer have to go to Raigmore Hospital three times per week.
If you wish your white envelope to go to this charity, please print CHARITY on the front. If you wish the money to go to the church, please print CHURCH on the front.
The donations can still be made at morning worship today
Cash donations will, as usual, be collected at the door at the end of the service.
Church Magazine :
The September edition of the magazine is now published and has been posted on the church website.
In addition, printed copies are available and, if you wish, you may pick up a copy at either the front or back door as you leave the church today.
Given that it is now less than 100 days to Christmas preparations for the Christmas edition are already underway. Please remember that it is your church magazine, and it would be wonderful if more pages were filled with your contributions.
Although the edition will not be issued until mid-December it is never too soon to submit articles, prayers, stories etc. These may be placed in the Magazine Folder in the Front Vestibule. Articles may also be emailed to the editor at wwm74marl@hotmail.com
New Communicant Members :
Any Adherent who would wish to become a full communicant member of the church should speak to the Minister at the end of the service or contact him by telephone. We would dearly love to see more Adherents take up full communicant membership of the church and take Communion on Sunday 21 November.
Life & Work Magazine :
If anyone would wish to be added to the list of those who subscribe to Life & Work Magazine please let Morna MacLaren know. (01478 612749).
The annual subscription charge is £36 for 12 issues.
