Congregational Board :A meeting of the Congregational Board will take place in the Manse at 7.30 pm on Thursday 04 September.
Church Magazine : Today is the closing date for articles for this edition of the magazine.
Thank You : The Minister and Kirk Session would like to express their thanks to those who were involved in the running of the Coffee Mornings and with the opening of the church for visitors during the Summer months.
Harvest Thanksgiving Sunday : Kirk Session has agreed that Sunday 28 September is to be designated as Harvest Thanksgiving Sunday. It also agreed that all donations made should be directed towards those in need in Portree and other areas of Skye.
Helping Hands has been identified as the most appropriate organisation to receive our donations and they will liaise with various other agencies (Social Services, CAB etc) to ensure that help is directed to where it is most needed. Cash donations would be the most acceptable form of donation as this allows Helping Hands to make bulk purchases at more competitive prices.
It is also hoped that food items from the list available in the Front Vestibule will be brought and left in the special box in the Front Vestibule. Members of the Sunday School will bring these food items to the Chancel area at the start of the service
Kirk Session also agreed that in September there would be no retiring collection for the ongoing building maintenance programme and consequently any donations made via the white envelopes will be directed to Helping Hands.
The donations will be collected at both services on Sunday 28 September.
