INTIMATIONS
Covid :
While Covid is still present in the community, the majority of our congregation are now fully vaccinated against the virus.
The wearing of these face coverings will now be a matter of personal choice.
After Morning Worship Fellowship :
After our Morning Worship today, Tea , Coffee, Juice, and biscuits will be served in the Church. Please stay behind for as long or short a time as you can manage and enjoy a time of fellowship with other members of the congregation and with visitors to our church.
Sunday Evening Services :
Evening services are held in the church each Sunday and commence at 6.00 pm.
Sunday School :
Classes resume today !
The group meets every Sunday during the school term. They meet initially in the Church before moving to the Church Hall.
If required, a crèche facility is available.
We would welcome new members to the group.
Please note that for the next two Sundays, children will be in the Hall for the full hour.
Ladies’ Bible Study Group :
The Ladies’ Bible Study Group meets in the Hall at 10.30 am each Tuesday. The group will be delighted to welcome any new ladies who would want to join them in fellowship and friendship.
Bible Study & Prayer Fellowship Services :
These services are held in the Church at 7.00 pm each Tuesday evening.
All are invited to attend.
Pastoral Visits : The Minister asks that he be kept informed of any member of the congregation who is ill, in hospital or would welcome a visit from him.
As in previous years, Portree Parish Church will host the Remembrance Day Service. Following the period of silence in the Square, members of the uniformed organisations will join us in the Church for morning worship.
While the seating arrangements will be slightly different from a normal Sunday it is hoped that members of our congregation will not be put off from attending on that day.
Preparatory Service and Communion Sunday :
Prior to the Communion Service to be held next Sunday, a Preparatory Service will be held in the church at 7.00 pm on Tuesday 12 November.
All members of the congregation are invited to attend.
The Sacrament of the Lord’s Supper will be celebrated during both services on Sunday 17 November.
Members of the congregation are asked to bring their own piece of bread to these services.
Individual disposable glasses and a sealed container of wine will be distributed by the Elders
New Communicant Members :
Any Adherent who would wish to become a full communicant member of the church should speak to the Minister at the end of the service or contact him by telephone. We would dearly love to see more Adherents take up full communicant membership of the church and take Communion on Sunday 17 November.
Church Magazine – Christmas Edition :
It’s just over 7 weeks to Christmas ! What is Christmas without your Portree Church magazine !
Please, please, please let us have YOUR contributions for this edition. They can be as long or as short as you like and on any topic.
As usual, contributions can be place in the red folder on the wall of the Front Vestibule or sent to me at wwm74marl@hotmail.com
Publication date will be Sunday 15 December so it would be wonderful if your contributions were received before Sunday 01 December.
