INTIMATIONS
Covid :
While Covid is still present in the community, the majority of our congregation are now fully vaccinated against the virus.
At a joint meeting of the Kirk Session and Congregational Board it was felt that we could now relax our previous strong recommendation that face coverings should be worn in the church.
The wearing of these face coverings will now be a matter of personal choice.
The cleaning and disinfecting regime in the church will continue, but at a reduced frequency. It will still be sanitised before each Sunday worship.
Ascension Sunday – Communion :
The Sacrament of the Lord’s Supper will be celebrated during both services today.
Individual disposable glasses and a sealed container of wine will be set out at each pew seat.
After Morning Worship Fellowship :
After our Morning Worship today, Tea , Coffee, Juice, and biscuits will be served in the Church. Please stay behind for as long or short a time as you can manage and enjoy a time of fellowship with other members of the congregation and with visitors to our church.
Sunday Evening Services :
Evening services are held in the church each Sunday and commence at 6.00 pm.
Sunday School :
The group meets every Sunday during the school term. They meet initially in the Church before moving to the Church Hall.
If required, a crèche facility is available.
Ladies’ Bible Study Group :
The Ladies’ Bible Study Group meets in the Hall at 10.30 am each Tuesday. The group will be delighted to welcome any new ladies who would want to join them in fellowship and friendship.
Bible Study & Prayer Fellowship Services :
These services are held in the Church at 7.00 pm each Tuesday evening.
All are invited to attend.
Pastoral Visits : The Minister asks that he be kept informed of any member of the congregation who is ill, in hospital or would welcome a visit from him.
New Communicant Members :
Any Adherent who would wish to become a full communicant member of the church should speak to the Minister at the end of the service or contact him by telephone. We would dearly love to see more Adherents take up full communicant membership of the church.
Sunday 19 May – Pentecost Sunday :
As Sandor will be in Edinburgh at the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland, Ronald MacDonald will lead worship at the morning service and Hugh Campbell will lead the evening worship.
Date for the Diary :
The Annual General Meeting of the church will be held in the Church Hall at 7.00 pm on Tuesday 04 June 2024 and we would encourage you to attend to support your Office Bearers and to hear reports on the various activities which have taken place during 2023.
Tea & Coffee, and the opportunity for further fellowship, will be provided at the end of the meeting.
Copies of the Annual Accounts for the church for 2023 are available in Vestibule.
Courses :
Details of Blessed Bible Group Chat and Digital Disciples support group, the two online courses being offered by our Presbytery, are still displayed on the door in the front vestibule, and details are also on the website.
Anyone interested in joining either group will find the links on the posters and on the website news items.
