INTIMATIONS
Covid :
While Covid is still present in the community, the majority of our congregation are now fully vaccinated against the virus.
The Kirk Session and Congregational Board have decided that we could now relax our previous strong recommendation that face coverings should be worn in the church.
The wearing of these face coverings will now be a matter of personal choice.
The cleaning and disinfecting regime in the church will continue, but at a reduced frequency. It will still be sanitised before each Sunday worship.
After Morning Worship Fellowship :
After our Morning Worship today, Tea , Coffee, Juice, and biscuits will be served in the Church. Please stay behind for as long or short a time as you can manage and enjoy a time of fellowship with other members of the congregation and with visitors to our church.
Sunday Evening Services :
Evening services are held in the church each Sunday and commence at 6.00 pm.
Sunday School :
The group meets every Sunday during the school term. They meet initially in the Church before moving to the Church Hall.
If required, a crèche facility is available.
Ladies’ Bible Study Group :
The Ladies’ Bible Study Group meets in the Hall at 10.30 am each Tuesday. The group will be delighted to welcome any new ladies who would want to join them in fellowship and friendship.
Bible Study & Prayer Fellowship Services :
These services are held in the Church at 7.00 pm each Tuesday evening.
All are invited to attend.
Minister’s Annual Leave :
Sandor will be on annual leave from Thursday 31 August until Thursday 12 October.
Members of Kirk Session will lead worship on each of the Sundays during this period and Roddy, Lachie, Colin and Hugh will lead the Tuesday evening Prayer Fellowship & Bible Study Services.
Donna will lead worship at the Morning Service today and Bill will lead the Evening Service worship.
Rev. Gary Wilson will stand in for Sandor where the services of a minister are required.
During Sandor’s absence other pastoral matters should be referred to the Session Clerk, Bill Marshall, who may be contacted on 01478 650 405.
Harvest Thanksgiving – Charitable Giving :
Kirk Session agreed that the September retiring collection and any white envelopes received during September or on Sunday 01 October can be directed to a local charity. This year, the charity selected to be the recipient of any donations is The Resource Centre at Tigh Na Drochaid.
Donations received will be used to purchase equipment and materials for the activities undertaken by those attending the centre, the cost of excursions, and the provision of the Christmas Dinner.
The Centre is an important venue which gives some people their only opportunities to mix socially with others.
If you wish your white envelope to go to this charity please print CHARITY on the front. If you wish the money to go to the church please print CHURCH.
The donations will be collected at both morning and evening worship services today.
Cash donations will, as usual, be collected at the door at the end of each service on these two Sundays.
