INTIMATIONS
Covid :
While the wearing of face-coverings and maintaining social distancing is no longer a legal requirement, The Scottish Government and the Church of Scotland advice is that in indoor settings the continuation of these practices should be encouraged.
With the continuing high number of cases of Covid cases in and around Portree, and the increasing number of visitors to our island we would strongly recommend that face-coverings (unless exempt) should still be worn in the church and throughout the service – including during the singing of praise items.
The existing cleaning and disinfecting regimes will continue with the church fully sanitised after each service.
All these procedures are designed to minimise the risks to anyone attending worship in the church.
Sunday Evening Services :
Evening services are held in the church each Sunday and commence at 6.00 pm.
Ladies’ Bible Study Group :
The Ladies’ Bible Study Group meets in the Hall at 10.30 am each Tuesday. The group will be delighted to welcome any new ladies who would want to join them in fellowship and friendship.
Bible Study & Prayer Fellowship Services :
These services are held in the Church at 7.00 pm each Tuesday evening. All are invited to attend.
Pastoral Visits : The Minister asks that he be kept informed of any member of the congregation who is ill, in hospital or would welcome a visit from him.
Charitable Giving :
Kirk Session agreed that the September retiring collection and any white envelopes received during September or on Sunday 02 October can be directed to a local charity. The charity selected to be the recipient of any donations is Skye Cancer Care.
If you wish your white envelope to go to this charity please print CHARITY on the front. If you wish the money to go to the church please print CHURCH.
There is a final opportunity to donate today
