INTIMATIONS
Covid Regulations :
From 09 August the Scottish Government removed most of the Covid restrictions which had been operating previously. However, the strong recommendation from the Church of Scotland is that, at present, congregations may wish to keep the 1 metre social distancing policy.
We feel that it would be more reassuring for those attending church if we continue to implement this practice.
The First Minister has also stated that it will continue to be the law that face coverings must be worn in all indoor settings as it is now.
Consequently, face coverings must still be worn in the church and throughout the service – including during the singing of praise items.
The existing cleaning and disinfecting regimes will continue with the church fully sanitised after each service.
Bible Study & Prayer Fellowship :
The group meets in the Church at 7.00 pm on Tuesday evenings. All are invited to attend.
The meeting on 14 December will be the last for 2021. Meetings will resume mid-January 2022.
FreeWill Offering Envelopes for 2022 :
Anyone wishing to join the scheme and receive envelopes for their weekly offerings should see Bill.
Church Magazine :
The Christmas edition of the magazine is now published and has been posted on the church website.
In addition, printed copies are available from today and, if you wish, you may pick up a copy at either the front or back door as you leave the church today.
We are delighted to say that more of the content in this edition has come from members of the congregation and we hope that even more articles come from yourselves for future editions.
Christmas / New Year Services :
We regret that the need to clean and sanitise the church after each service and the fact that Christmas and New Year’s Day each fall on a Saturday means the programme of services for this season will be extremely restricted.
We plan to have a Watchnight Service in the Church, but to allow the church to be cleaned and ready for the Sunday worship this will be held at a much earlier time.
The pattern of services will be as follows :-
Watchnight ServiceFriday 24 December at 6.00 pmThere will be no service on Saturday 25 DecemberSunday 26 DecemberMorning Worship at 11.00 am
There will be no Hogmanay or New Year’s Day service
Sunday 02 January 2022Morning Worship at 11.00 am
