After Morning Worship Fellowship : After Morning Worship today Tea , Coffee, Juice and biscuits will be served in the Church. Please stay behind for as long or short a time as you can manage and enjoy a time of fellowship with other members of the congregation and with visitors to our church.
Crèche: There is a crèche in the Church Hall behind the Church if anyone wishes to leave their children there during the morning service.
Sunday School and Youth Fellowship have closed for the Christmas holiday period. They will resume on Sunday 11 January 2015.
The Ladies’ Bible Study Group will next meet in the Church Hall on Tuesday 13 January 2015 from 10.30 am to 12.00 noon. All ladies welcome.
The Prayer Fellowship will next meet in the Manse at 7.00 pm on Tuesday 13 January 2015. All are welcome to attend.
CHRISTMAS / NEW YEAR SERVICES 2014 :
The pattern of services over the remainder of this period will be as follows –
31st December : New Year’s Eve Service at 11.00 pm
1st January ‘15 : New Year’s Day Service 12.00 noon
Friends and family visiting Portree for the festive season will be made very welcome at our services.
After Morning Worship Fellowship : We are looking for a few volunteers to assist with the serving of tea & coffee after morning services.
If you feel you would like to help in this please speak to Bill Marshall.
Thank You : We are fortunate in Portree that so many of the congregation volunteer to help the church in so many different ways. The church could simply not function the way it does without this assistance.
The Minister and Kirk Session would like to take this opportunity to thank all those involved no matter how large or small their contribution.
Watchnight Service Donations : A total of £262.24 was donated at this service and this will be forwarded to Skye Cancer Care.
A New Year With The Lord
A new year is about to unfold
With new opportunities to explore
Doors will open for new experiences
New adventures with the Lord
Remember not the former things
The things of this past year
The Lord will do new things in us
Much more than we are aware
For He will make a way for us
As we put our trust in Him
And He will guide our every step
By His presence we have within
What God has placed within our hearts
We find we’ll be able to do
If we look for the opportunities
We’ll see the door to go through
We mustn’t let anything hold us back
But rise up and take our place
And be all that God wants us to be
With a fresh touch of His grace!
