Congregational Board : A meeting of the Congregational Board will take place in the Manse at 7.30 pm on Thursday 8 May.
Holidays : The holiday period will soon be upon us and members of the congregation will be visiting many different parts of the country. If anyone visits a church elsewhere and finds that, like Portree Parish Church, spare copies of a magazine are available to visitors then the Magazine Committee would be extremely grateful to receive a copy. These can provide ideas for future articles in our own magazine
Any magazines obtained can be placed in the Magazine Folder in the Front Vestibule.
Congregational Register : The Kirk Session is currently updating the Congregational Records. Last year, the roll keeper’s computer crashed and so some details may have been lost. The Data Protection Act requires us by law to have written permission to hold your name on the roll. If you have started attending the church in the last four years, or returned after a period of absence, or your details have been lost then you may be asked to complete a roll request form. Please return these forms to Donna McEwan or any of the elders
Food Bank : Food items may be deposited in the receptacle in the Front Vestibule. These will be passed on to Helping Hands who will distribute them to those in need in Portree and the local area. Cards listing the most suitable items of food are available in the Front Vestibule.
Vocations Conference : The Ministries Council of the Church of Scotland
has arranged a Vocations Conference in Letham St. Mark’s, Perth on Saturday 28 June 2014. The conference is designed to be a starting place in exploring a sense of vocation in those who may have an interest in Ministry of Word and Sacrament, Diaconal Ministry or Readership. Please see the poster in the Front Vestibule. Further details may be obtained from the Session Clerk.
