Morning Worship :In his role as Interim Moderator for Kilmuir & Stenscholl Parish, Sandor will be celebrating the Sacrament of Communion in Staffin Church this morning. In his place, Rev. John Murray will lead worship at our 11.00 am service and this will be followed at 12.30 pm by a Gaelic Service.
After Morning Worship Fellowship : After Morning Worship today Tea , Coffee, Juice and biscuits will be served in the Church Hall. Please stay behind for as long or short a time as you can manage and enjoy a time of fellowship with other members of the congregation and with visitors to our church.
Crèche: There is a crèche in the Church Hall behind the Church if anyone wishes to leave their children there during the morning service.
Sunday School meets every Sunday during the school term. They meet initially in the Church before moving to the Church Hall.
Youth Fellowship will meet in the Church Hall from 7.15 to 8.30 pm tonight.
The Ladies’ Bible Study Group meets in the Church Hall on Tuesdays from 10.30 am to 12.00 noon. All ladies welcome.
The Prayer Fellowship meets in the Manse at 7.00 pm each Tuesday evening. All are welcome to attend.
Church / Church Hall Cleaning Rotas 2014 : Volunteers are sought to
fill the few vacant slots in the above rotas. This would only involve a
total of 4 – 6 hours per YEAR Anyone willing to assist with this should contact Ann MacLeod (611 271)
Door Duty / Readers : Door Duty volunteers are sought to give a welcome greeting to people as they come into the church and to take up the offerings. Readers would read the lessons during services. If you would be willing to help with either or both of these duties please see Donna McEwan or Bill Marshall.
December Coffee Morning : The December Coffee Morning will be held in the Church Hall from 10.30 am to 12.00 noon on Thursday 5 December. Please support this initiative which is organised to raise money for church funds.
Church Magazine : Printing of the Christmas edition of the Church Magazine is now in progress and distributors will be able to collect the copies for their areas next Sunday
Soup & Mince Pies Lunch : The members of the Sunday School invite the congregation to a Soup & Mince Pies Lunch which will be served in the Church Hall after the Family Service on Sunday 15 December.
CHRISTMAS / NEW YEAR SERVICES 2013 :
The pattern of services over this period will be as follows –
15th December : Family Service 11.00 am ; Normal Worship 6.00 pm
(The Sunday School invites the congregation to a Soup
& Mince Pies Lunch after the Family Service)
22rd December : Normal Worship 11.00 am and 6.00 pm
24th December : Watchnight Service of Readings and Carols 11.15 pm
29th December : Normal Worship 11.00 am and 6.00 pm
31st December : New Year’s Eve Service (time to be confirmed)
1st January ‘14 : New Year’s Day Service 12.00 noon
