WELCOME ! We are delighted to have you worshipping with us today. Please sit wherever you wish. Large print hymn books are available at
the church door – please ask if you require one. An Induction Loop
system is also in use – you should adjust your hearing aid to the
appropriate ‘T’ setting. A Visitors’ Book is in the vestibule if you would wish to sign it. The Minister or an elder will be happy to pray for anyone
after the service.
After Morning Worship Fellowship : After Morning Worship today Tea , Coffee, Juice and biscuits will be served in the Church. Please stay behind for as long or short a time as you can manage and enjoy a time of fellowship with other members of the congregation and with visitors to our church.
Crèche: There is a crèche in the Church Hall behind the Church if anyone wishes to leave their children there during the morning service.
Sunday School & Youth Fellowship are closed for the duration of the school Summer holiday period. Classes will meet again on the first Sunday
after school resumes.

The Ladies’ Bible Study Group meets in the Church Hall on Tuesdays from 10.30 am to 12.00 noon. All ladies welcome. This will be the last meeting of the group until the end of August.
The Prayer Fellowship group will meet in the Church Hall at 7.00 pm this coming Tuesday evening. All are welcome to attend.
Coffee Mornings : Coffee Mornings, in aid of church funds are held in the Church each Thursday from 10.30 – 12.00 Please come and support this fund raising initiative.
Holidays : The holiday period will soon be upon us and members of the congregation will be visiting many different parts of the country. If anyone visits a church elsewhere and finds that, like Portree Parish Church, spare copies of a magazine are available to visitors then the Magazine Committee would be extremely grateful to receive a copy. These can provide ideas for future articles in our own magazine
Any magazines obtained can be placed in the Magazine Folder in the Front Vestibule.
Congregational Meal : Sandor and Susan would like to thank all who assisted in making last Sunday’s event so enjoyable. Their family made comment regarding the warm welcome they received from the congregation which made them feel very much at home and part of the Portree Church family.
Visit by the Moderator of the General Assembly : The current Moderator of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland, the Rt. Rev. Lorna Hood, will be visiting the Presbytery of Lochcarron-Skye from 24August to 2 September. During her stay she will preach at morning worship in Portree on Sunday 25 August and in Dunvegan on Sunday 1 September. The Moderator will also visit schools, hospitals, care homes etc in the area.
Full details of the Moderator’s itinerary will be given in due course once they have been agreed.
