Congregational Soup & Pudding : Sandor, Susan and their family wish to invite all members of the congregation to join them for a Soup & Pudding Lunch in the Church Hall after morning worship. This will provide the opportunity for a time of fellowship together and a first opportunity for the congregation to meet Hanna and her proud parents, Szende and Ferenc.
Crèche: There is a crèche in the Church Hall behind the Church if anyone wishes to leave their children there during the morning service.
Sunday School & Youth Fellowship close today for the Summer holiday period. Classes will meet again on the first Sunday after school resumes.
We hope our young members have an enjoyable holiday.
Thank You : The Minister and Kirk Session wish to extend their very grateful thanks to all those who have given of their time and talents to the Christian education of our younger members throughout the last session.
The Ladies’ Bible Study Group meets in the Church Hall on Tuesdays from 10.30 am to 12.00 noon. All ladies welcome.
The Prayer Fellowship group meets in the Church Hall at 6.30 pm this coming Tuesday evening. All are welcome to attend.
Coffee Mornings : Coffee Mornings, in aid of church funds are held each Thursday from 10.30 – 12.00 Please come and support this fund raising initiative. From Thursday 20 June these will be held in the Church.
Kirk Session : A meeting of Kirk Session will be held in the Manse at 7.30 pm on Thursday 27 June. Minutes and Agenda are in the Front Vestibule.
Christian Aid : Rev. Geoff McKee wishes to convey his thanks to all at Portree Parish who helped with Christian Aid this year. Portree raised a total of £413.90 which will obviously increase once Gift Aid has been added.
Holidays : The holiday period will soon be upon us and members of the congregation will be visiting many different parts of the country. If anyone visits a church elsewhere and finds that, like Portree Parish Church, spare copies of a magazine are available to visitors then the Magazine Committee would be extremely grateful to receive a copy. These can provide ideas for future articles in our own magazine
Any magazines obtained can be placed in the Magazine Folder in the Front Vestibule.
Talents : The Stewardship Committee would like to thank the Sunday School children for their help and full participation over the second two weeks of the Talents campaign. The Committee said “their contributions said more than we ever could” !
