Welcome Return :
We are delighted to welcome back to the pulpit our minister, Sandor, following his period of recuperation after surgery.
After Morning Worship Fellowship : After Morning Worship today Tea , Coffee, Juice and biscuits will be served in the Church. Please stay behind for as long or short a time as you can manage and enjoy a time of fellowship with other members of the congregation and with visitors to our church.
Our Praise : Normally at our morning services the items of Praise are taken from Church Hymnary Third Edition (CH) and those at evening services are taken from Mission Praise (MP).
If you feel more comfortable sitting during the items of praise, please feel free to do so.
Crèche: There is a crèche in the Church Hall behind the Church if
anyone wishes to leave their children there during the morning service.
Sunday School & Youth Fellowship are closed for the Easter holiday break. Classes resume on Sunday 28 April
The Ladies’ Bible Study Group meetings are closed for the Easter holiday period. Meetings will resume on Tuesday 23 April.
There is an open invitation for coffee in Jans’ Red Brick Café on Tuesdays when not meeting in the Church Hall.
The Prayer Fellowship until further notice will meet in the Church at
7.00 pm each Tuesday evening. All are welcome to attend.
Pastoral Visits : The Minister asks that he would be kept informed of
any member of the congregation who is ill, in hospital or would
welcome a visit from him.
Summer Opening of the Church to Visitors : Anyone willing to take on one or more of the slots on the rota for opening the church during the period from the start of June to the end of August should give their name to Ishbel Beattie (0787 611 0984). Male volunteers would be most welcome.
New Communicant Members : Any Adherent who would wish to become a full communicant member of the church should speak to the Minister at the end of the service or contact him by telephone. We would dearly love to see more Adherents take up full communicant membership of the church and take Communion on 21 April.
Church Magazine : The Spring edition of the magazine is now available for distribution.
The Editors would wish to thank all who contributed items for the magazine – this edition is truly YOUR magazine. We would also wish to thank Mary Wake for typing up those handwritten items received.
Communion Services : At a recent meeting of Kirk Session it was agreed that, on each of the 4 Communion Sundays in the year, Communion would be celebrated at both the morning and evening services. This new pattern will start on Easter Sunday (See below)
Pattern of Services for Easter :
Friday 19 April (Good Friday) : Preparatory Service at 7.30 pm
Sunday 21 April (Sunrise Service) : Sunrise Service at the Lump at
- Sunrise is timed for 6.00 am.
Sunday 21 April (Easter Sunday) : Communion Services at 11.00 am
and at 6.00 pm
