Minister’s Visit to Nepal : As part of his responsibilities as a member of the Church of Scotland’s World Mission Council, Sandor is a representative of the Church of Scotland at the General Assembly of the APC in Nepal.  He will also visit other areas in which the Church of Scotland has a particular interest.   He will return on 11 June.

We are delighted to welcome back Rev. David Kellas who will lead us in worship today.   Rev. Kellas will also take the service at Budhmor at 3.00pm this afternoon.

Pastoral Matters during the Minister’s Absence : During Sandor’s absence, urgent pastoral matters will be dealt with by Rev Geoff  McKee.   In such cases please contact the Session Clerk (01478 650405) or the Rev McKee on  01470 521457.

After Morning Worship Fellowship : After Morning Worship today     Tea , Coffee, Juice and biscuits will be served in the Church. Please stay behind for as long or short a time as you can manage and enjoy a time of fellowship with other members of the congregation and with visitors to our church.

Crèche:    There is a crèche in the Church Hall behind the Church if anyone wishes to leave their children there during the morning service.

Sunday School meets every Sunday during the school term.   They meet initially in the Church before moving to the Church Hall.

Youth Fellowship will meet in the Church Hall from 7.15 to 8.30 pm tonight.

The Ladies’ Bible Study Group  meets in the Church Hall on Tuesdays  from 10.30 am to 12.00 noon.   All ladies welcome.

The Prayer Fellowship  group meets in the Church Hall eachTuesday evening.   During Sandor’s absence the meetings will start at 6.30 pm.

All are welcome to attend.

Congregational BoardA meeting of the Congregational Board will be held in the Manse at 7.30 pm on Thursday 13 June.

Coffee MorningsCoffee Mornings, in aid of church funds  are held in the Church Hall each Thursday from 10.30 – 12.00

Further volunteers to help with the rota for these events are still sought.

It is hoped that this venture will be well supported by both the congregation, the local community and also that it will attract visitors to our island.

Holidays : The holiday period will soon be upon us and members of the congregation will be visiting many different parts of the country.   If anyone visits a church elsewhere and finds that, like Portree Parish Church, spare copies of a magazine are available to visitors then the Magazine Committee would be extremely grateful to receive a copy.   These can provide  ideas for future articles in our own magazine

Any magazines obtained can be placed in the Magazine Folder in the Front Vestibule.
